Natural disasters often lead to a swell of incoming goods to the affected region, which results in a greater need for transportation and handling of goods. Furthermore, infrastructural damage caused by the disaster leads to the generation of logistical capacity bottlenecks. The Portable Port is a specialized movable port concept with the purpose to create ad-hoc capacities in disaster regions.
